You see her at the bar…… sleek shiny, black, figure hugging cat suit…… you buy her drinks and take her home……. you start pealing off her outer layers to take a look underneath ……..

oh no…… you’ve landed yourself in a lot of trouble …… the fat girl who works at the post office has squeezed herself into a cat suit for the evening……
Black on black. Sports pack. Manual. Sun Roof. 17 inch wheels. iPod connection.
Sounds great…… then you find….. Run flats ……. you need to wear a kidney belt daily......... and run to your nearest alignment specialist every time you drive over the smallest bump in the road. Running over a small bump feels like you just road over a tree stump. The traction control is far to “granny focused”. In my old E46 318i I have more fun around the “twistys”… it still stays on the power and doesn’t fade away………………………………………… a R280k purchase price for the E90 and two and a half years later a trade in value of R178k...

..... this all just made me hate the car.
Run flat……great if you’re an idiot who never checks your tire pressure, drives over nails and hits pot holes at 140kph………… I have had two punctures on run flats…… both unsuccessfully plugged. I believe there is a new plug, but I had had enough by then. R4000 per tyre............. and you can't plug it......... NO THANKS..........
So you have a puncture……. And no spare wheel………. if you don’t have a puncture repair self inflator you drive on ........at the recommended 80kph ……. To the “safety” of your nearest tyre dealer and pay R4000 for the privilege……… having the whole car stolen on the side of the road where I got the puncture might have left me less out of pocket..........
Coming soon - BMW 355 vs Merc C55 AMG ......
